Protecting Civil Rights and Civil Liberties in NYS
The Putnam County Democratic Committee is pleased to announce
that they will be sponsoring a talk by Shannon Wong from the
NYCLU on Thursday March 30th at the Mahopac Library from 6PM
to 7:30PM.
This event is free and open to the public. Parking is limited, so please
car pool if possible.

Please join us to learn about local and state advocacy efforts. Ms
Wong will provide an overview of NYCLU’s advocacy priorities,
explain the legislative process and discuss ways to get involved.
The topics we will discuss are:
• Ensuring quality public defense
• Protecting reproductive freedom
• Fighting hate, discrimination and harmful government action,
protecting privacy
• Protecting New Yorkers, including immigrants, Muslims, LGBTQ
people, minorities and students in public schools
